Dudnyk Refreshes Emphasis On Brands With Seasoned Management Team

Dudnyk today announced the appointment of a dynamic team of agency veterans to lead the firm in the rapidly changing healthcare marketing industry. Lorna Weir, previously Senior Vice President, Director of Client Services has been named President. She is joined by Frank X. Powers, who has been named Executive Vice President, Management Supervisor, Barry Schmader, Executive Vice President, Creative Director and Chuck Jeffries, Vice President, Creative Director, Art.

Lorna Weir joined Dudnyk in 1999 and had served as the Director of Client Services. Lorna brings more than 14 years of experience addressing a wide variety of markets and target audiences, including both healthcare products and consumer products. Lorna has managed a variety of accounts including Shire US Inc., OSI Pharmaceuticals, Bayer Healthcare, OraPharma, Genzyme Biosurgery, Bausch & Lomb Consumer, and DuPont. She successfully relaunched the Simple and UGG Australia brands for Deckers Outdoor Corporation. Lorna has also practiced law in the state of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Kenyon College and the University of Maine, School of Law.

Frank Powers joined Dudnyk in 2000 and had previously held the position of Vice President, Associate Director of Client Services. Prior to joining Dudnyk, Frank was a branding consultant at Stan Gross Associates, where he worked on both consumer and business-to-business clients such as DuPont and Coca-Cola, in addition to leading healthcare accounts with Bristol-Myers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim and Merck & Co., Inc. A graduate of Mount St. Mary's University, Frank earned his MBA from Philadelphia University.

Barry Schmader is a 20-year veteran of Dudnyk. He began his career as a copywriter with Dudnyk Advertising and helped form Dudnyk Healthcare in the early 1990s. His conceptual ability, bold copy style, and consumer slant result in some of the more aggressive, focused advertising being done in the industry today. Drawing upon experience and instinct, Barry invents the powerful brand images and personalities that have become hallmarks of the Dudnyk style. Barry holds a BA degree from Villanova University.

Chuck Jeffries has been with Dudnyk since 1999. Chuck has broad advertising experience in Rx/ethical pharmaceutical, business-to-business, and retail-consumer advertising. Chuck has extensive therapeutic experience in ophthalmics, analgesics, medical device, gastroenterology, hematology, oncology, and CNS. Chuck manages all phases of creative—from concept through production, originating well-respected creative campaigns for countless healthcare brands. Chuck is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Art.
